These were my thoughts after seeing Maggie and Angel obsess over comic books in Jaime Hernandez’ Ti-Girls Adventures Number 34 (Love and Rockets: New Stories no.1, Fantagraphics, 2008):
1. “Hey, they’re like me! That’s what I do! This is exciting!”
2. “Actual women don’t do this. This is Jaime’s ridiculous fantasy.”
3. “But I am a woman and I do this.”
4. “I don’t exist.”
Do you see what I did there?
